Mooresville Man Arrested After Drug Investigation

MOORESVILLE, NC –Mooresville Police Department Detectives recently conducted a

narcotics investigation after receiving complaints of illegal drug activity in the area of The

Osprey at Lake Norman Apartments. Based on the information received, Detectives began the investigation and determined that one of the apartments in the complex was the source of the complaints. After a month-long investigation, Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the apartment at 133-304 Langtree Shore Dr.

On February 14, 2023, Detectives executed the search warrant and recovered a large amount of illegal narcotics, firearms, and currency from inside the residence. Detectives seized over 21 pounds of marijuana, which included THC Vape cartridges, TCH resin, and THC edibles.

Detectives also seized two handguns—one of which had been reported as being stolen—and $4,000 cash.

The resident of the apartment, 26-year-old Tyler Cayse Moore, was arrested on February 22, 2023, and charged with (F) Trafficking Marijuana, (F) Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver

Marijuana, (F) Felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep/Sell/Use a Controlled Substance, (F) Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, (F) Possession of a Stolen Firearm and (M)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Moore was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center

under a $100,000 secured bond.
