ARREST FOR EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR

MOORESVILLE, NC – On April 25, 2025, Mooresville Police Officers responded to Waterlynn subdivision in reference to a report of explicit material involving children being located on a subject’s devices. Mooresville Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division responded immediately and located the reporting party as well as the reported Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Upon discovery of this material, Officers arrested Miles Reid Morgan, 33, and conducted a search warrant on his residence. Additional electronic devices were seized from the residence and further investigation is being conducted. 

As a result of this investigation, Morgan was charged with 10 counts of Second-Degree Exploitation of a Minor and 10 counts of Third-Degree Exploitation of a Minor. He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he received a $1.2 million dollar secured bond.
