Multiple Charges follow MPD response to Disturbance Call
MOORESVILLE, NC – On August 30, 2025, Mooresville Police Department (MPD) officers responded to a disturbance call on N. Church St. One of the vehicles involved in the disturbance was located on Selma Dr. with four occupants. When officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, it pulled into a residential driveway. Two of the occupants then jumped from the vehicle and ran. One of the occupants was observed to have a handgun in his waistband while running away from the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit, both individuals were apprehended. One of the individuals was a juvenile. The individual who was observed to be in possession of a firearm was later identified as Sirron Cordell Phiffer, 20, of Kings Mountain.
MPD K-9 responded to the scene and conducted an article search of the immediate area where Phiffer was apprehended. A firearm was subsequently located. Phiffer was arrested, charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and received a $2,500 bond. The juvenile was released to their parents.
The occupants who remained inside of the vehicle were detained and a handgun was found under the driver’s seat. The driver of the vehicle, Caleb Tony Allison, 23, of Mooresville, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and several traffic offenses. Allison was already out on bond for previous charges and received no bond from the magistrate for these charges. Marijuana was found on the other occupant, Yazyron Nyshod Troutman, 18, of Troutman, who was also arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance.
