Arrest for Possession of Narcotics in Town Park – One Subject Still Wanted
MOORESVILLE, NC – On February 22, 2026, at 10:30 p.m., a Mooresville Police Department
officer encountered two male subjects standing outside a parked car in the area of Selma Burke
Recreation Center after hours. During the officer’s investigation, one subject, Nazir Cartrell
Lowe, 20, of Salisbury, North Carolina, was detained. The second subject ran away on foot and
eluded officers. He was later identified as Xavier Deion Lowe, 26, of Clemmons, North
Carolina.
MPD officers searched the subject’s car and discovered 430.6 grams of suspected marijuana.
Nazir Lowe was later charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI, felony
possession of schedule VI, and maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance. He
was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he received no bond.
Arrest warrants for Xavier Deion Lowe have been obtained for similar narcotics offenses.
