 Mooresville Police Department to Dedicate Fallen Officers Memorial During 2026 National

Police Week

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The Mooresville Police Department (MPD), in partnership with the

Exchange Club of Mooresville/Lake Norman, will hold its annual National Police Week

Memorial Ceremony Tuesday, May 12 at 9 a.m. at MPD headquarters, 2847 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville. As part of the ceremony, MPD will formally dedicate the Mooresville Police Fallen Officer Memorial, which honors the lasting legacies of three Mooresville police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community:

 Chief James Earl Rimmer

 Lt. Larry Vernon Barger

 Officer Jordan Sheldon

The ceremony, which takes place during National Police Week (May 10-16), is open to the

public.
