Multiple Charges follow MPD response to Disturbance Call
MOORESVILLE, NC – On August 30, 2025, Mooresville Police Department (MPD) officers responded to a disturbance call on N. Church St. One of the vehicles involved in the disturbance was located on Selma Dr. with four occupants. When officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, it pulled into a residential driveway. Two of the occupants then jumped from the vehicle and ran. One of the occupants was observed to have a handgun in his waistband while running away from the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit, both individuals were apprehended. One of the individuals was a juvenile. The individual who was observed to be in possession of a firearm was later identified as Sirron Cordell Phiffer, 20, of Kings Mountain. MPD K-9 responded to the scene and conducted an article search of the immediate area where Phiffer was apprehended. A firearm was subsequently located.
